Bio:
Michael J. Gorman is the Regional President of the The Western Reserve Bank of Brecksville. Mr. Gorman is a 33-year veteran of the financial services profession with extensive experience in private banking in Chicago and Cleveland. Western Reserve Bank offers a full range of banking services to consumers and businesses, including commercial, real estate, home equity and consumer loans; credit cards; and deposit products such as checking accounts, savings and money market accounts, certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts. Mr. Gorman, 55, began working in the financial services industry in 1973. At Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago, Gorman spent fifteen years associated with the Private Banking Division.
As a vice president in private banking for Fifth Third Bank both in Chicago and Cleveland, Gorman counseled high net-worth clients helping them make credit, deposit and investment decisions. In addition to his deep expertise in private banking, Gorman has direct experience in various types of commercial loans as well as residential and commercial real estate lending. Mr. Gorman believes that smaller institutions like Western Reserve Bank have a unique niche in the market. “Our local emphasis and community bank approach has been greatly appreciated by the small to medium size businesses in our market. Our goal is to provide a strong financial package backed by superior customer service”.
Mr. Gorman graduated with a BA from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He also holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (CFC) Degrees from American College of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Mr. Gorman is the President of the Brecksville Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Paula reside in Brecksville and are members of St. Basil’s church.
